The STARTALK CREATE project is funded through STARTALK, an initiative of the National Foreign Language Center. STARTALK’s mission is to increase the number of U.S. citizens learning, speaking, and teaching critical need foreign languages. STARTALK offers students (K–16) and teachers of these languages creative and engaging summer experiences that strive to exemplify best practices in language education and in language teacher development.

The CREATE project was designed and developed by CLASSRoad, a keystone initiative of Human Assistance and Development International (HADI), whose mission is to promote and enhance the teaching of the Silk Road languages (Arabic, Chinese, Persian, Hindi, Russian) in the United States.
